I've decided to go with Goodreads as my resource, since so many other librarians in the system are using it. I'll be able to reach more people I know and opinions I value. Previously used Library Thing, but have found far fewer BCPL staff use this blog.
I've chosen to expand my Sci Fi horizons, and boldly go where I have not gone before. Actually, that's not strictly true, because I took a literature Sci fi course in college. To my surprise, I actually enjoyed many of the books we had to read for the course. It's been a while since then, and a whole new era of Sci Fi writers has dawned. Knowing some of the great classic writers is useful, but am looking forward to discovering new worlds. I'll be using Locus as my portal.
